Strawberry Moment

Waking up in a cloudy day made me feel lazy to do just anything. I had tons of house chores to do, I just couldn't decide which one to start with. Suddenly the bell rang....somebody asked me "Would you like to go strawberry picking?" Here come the answer....strawberry picking first!!! If you are a strawberry lover like me, you wouldn't say "No". I finally found myself in the car in less than 10 minutes later!!!

It's now time for a "strawberry moment".

I just couldn't resist those red plum, juicy strawberries. I heard they're calling...."pick me".

I love to pick my own strawberries. It's the best way to get the freshest strawberries. I normally keep at least one inch of stem on them. It would be beautiful when making chocoberry

I tried to choose all of them to be the same size. It would look pretty on cakes or any desserts. We should not pile too many strawberries on top of each other, this will cause them to bruise. I only took the red ones, the green strawberries will not ripen once picked.

The cloudy day was perfect for strawberry picking. I finally ended up almost 4 pounds of strawberries. I enjoy eating them fresh. One cup of strawberries contains only 43 calories.!!! But I also love to make strawberry desserts...

I froze some strawberries that I didn't plan to use right away - just washed, cut the hulls off and put them into a zip lock bag. It can be kept for months, but it will not stay that long in my house. They will be good for smoothie, ice cream or strawberry mousse.

While enjoying my strawberry treat today, I was thinking "What should I do with these strawberries tomorrow?"

Hope you enjoy your day as well.
